Traffic on a major German autobahn was snarled for hours after a drunk lorry driver spilled gallons of formic acid on to the road, police have said.
Fulda police said the 32-year-old driver of a tanker truck that was carrying 6,076 gallons of the pungent liquid crashed into a concrete barrier and tipped over.
The driver walked away from the accident unharmed but his blood-alcohol level was well over the legal limit when he was taken into custody.
